CONSULTATION

We care about building genuine long-lasting relationships with stakeholders and the host communities in which we work. We endeavour to look out for each other, our communities and the environment.

The Lacour Energy team has been in the community for a while, presenting at the Darkan Wind Energy forums in mid 2023 and late 2024.  As the project progresses, more frequent and detailed engagement on the specific project will take place to ensure community awareness and involvement.

Engagement is proposed to be undertaken in a manner consistent with industry best practice. A key part of engaging with the community is to work together to solve challenges with delivering the project, such as housing, and to ensure potential local and regional employment and economic opportunities associated with construction and operations are realised. We aim to engage with local businesses as the project progresses, and we anticipate ongoing consultation through project development, construction and operation phases.

Planned consultation activities:

We commenced our community information session in June 2025 and held a further exhibition in November 2025. We will continue to hold sessions as the project progresses.  We look forward to attending other community events, such as the 2026 Darkan Sheepfest on March 14 where we will have a stall and be available for any questions or queries. Please register to be kept up to date on information about the project and community exhibitions.

West Arthur Community Information Sessions

It was great to connect with the Darkan community during our recent information sessions on the 16th and 17th of June and 27th of November 2025. We appreciated the warm welcome from the West Arthur CRC team and the valuable conversations shared at the two sessions.

If you missed the sessions or have further questions, please contact us.
